New Hope Stables was founded in 2004 with the intention to create a living environment that is as close to a natural life way of free roaming equines. The horses are constantly moving in a small herd on a track system (Paddock Paradise) which is designed to meet the basic physiological and mental needs to maintain optimum health and well being. This environment gives the horses plenty opportunity to exercise and socialize.

Paddock Paradise gives us the ability to implement a safe diet in a controlled feeding environment. All of our horses have 24/7 access to hay, water (fresh and creek water), shelter (natural and run in), mineral and salt blocks.

Mike Smith is a certified Natural Hoofcare Practitioner with Liberated Horsemanship and AANHCP

Hello, I am Mike Smith.  I started my work career as a purchasing agent for the American Government in Germany.

In addition, I worked as an electrician which lead me to a career as a technician for the Cable Company when we moved to Iredell County in 1997.

Not planing a new profession, my passion became trimming horses. In 2007, I was certified as a Natural Hoof Care Practitioner which turned out to be the most rewarding and enjoyable job I've done in my life.

Hello, my name is Simone Smith. I grew up in Germany and have been drawn to horses as long as I can remember.

In 1997 my husband and I moved to NC. With over 40 years of horse experience, I fulfilled my dream in 2004 with our Natural Horse Boarding Farm, New Hope Stables in Statesville, NC.

We work diligently to provide the best possible care for all the horses on our farm.
